Mimi Youn (*1981, Korea) studierte 2001 bis 2005 im Bachelorstudiengang Kunst mit Fokus Fotografie an der Sang Myung Universität, Südkorea und absolvierte von 2006 bis 2008 den Master of Fine Art in Medien an der Slade School of Fine Art am University College in London.
